New Research Projects on Arts Education in Societal Transformation, AI, and Post-Digital Culture in Teacher Training

As we step into 2024, the UNESCO Chair in Digital Culture and Arts in Education at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg proudly launches a suite of four innovative joint research projects. These initiatives, bolstered by funding of 1.7 million euros for our Chair and a cumulative 8.3 million euros for the joint ventures, are supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Our diverse research portfolio is set to explore and co-create diversity-sensitive AI applications within the realm of cultural and aesthetic education. Furthermore, it encompasses the development of teacher training programs attuned to the nuances of post-digital youth culture, digital global citizenship education, and the concept of cultural resilience.
