Stephanie Leupert is an assistant researcher and PhD student at the UNESCO Chair in Arts and Culture in Education (UCACE) at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany). For her bachelor’s degree, she studied Education and Political Science at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She received her master’s degree in Education with focus on Organizational Education at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Her research includes Global Citizenship Education, Education for Sustainable Development as well as cultural, social, and political transformation dynamics and Postcolonial Studies. In her doctoral thesis, she intends to investigate connections between geopolitical spatial perceptions and active citizenship in the context of Global Citizenship Education.
